By following these instructions, you can maintain the appearance and quality of your items even with regular use and cleaning. For optimal results, we recommend dusting and cleaning your products regularly. Unless specified otherwise, all pieces are intended for indoor use.
How to care for: Wood
To maintain the natural beauty of your furniture piece for a longer period of time, it is important to treat the surfaces with oil, recommended 2 times a year for optimal maintenance. Wood requires proper care and attention to preserve its beauty. It tends to adjust to the environment, gets dry with time and needs treatment.
Cleaning is done with a soft cloth wrung out in clean water. Avoid using cleaners containing any type of chemicals on the furniture.
Oiling treatment
1/ Clean the furniture using a clean cloth dampened with warm water.
2/ Once the furniture is dry, apply oil to a clean soft cloth or sponge, do not pour the oil directly on the wood.
3/ Rub the oil info the wood in the direction of the grain, treating the entire surface of the furniture piece.
4/ Let the oil soak for about 20 minutes, then remove ant excess oil with a soft clean dry cloth.
5/ Rub the surface with a clean soft cloth until a uniform surface is obtained, then let dry.
→ Place wooden furniture in a shadowed spot. Avoid direct sunlight, against heat sources, or in areas with significant temperature and humidity fluctuations.
→ Use coasters for hot and ice cold glasses, pots and pans placed on wooden surfaces.
→ Immediately wipe up spilled liquids. Using tap water and after wipe off with dry soft cloth.
Note Natural materials will come with peculiarities and develop a characteristic patina over time.
